Both of my grandmothers have an amazing sense of style. When I look back at pictures of them when they were younger, they both were impeccably dressed and always looked fashionable. It’s no reason that when I dress, I always want to look put together and classy.
This dress belonged to my paternal grandmother who unfortunately passed away 4 years ago this coming Sunday. Several months after she passed, I went through one of the closets at her house with my aunt and found loads of goodies, this dress being one of them.
There’s just something about this dress and it’s pattern that still makes it fashionable today. I paired it with a floppy hat to add to the look, but it was just so darn hot when we were shooting these pictures that I just could not keep them on.
This bag was a discovery while my family and I were cleaning out my great-aunt’s house on my mother’s side. This bag is from the 1950’s! How great is it?! It looks tiny, but it can fit so much stuff in it. I love the colors and the wouldn’t handle.
Ah, pockets! My favorite in a dress.
I love this dress as a maxi dress, but I was thinking of updating it and making it into a matching tank/skirt set. What do you guys think?
Thanks for stopping by!
