It’s been a minute since I posted and I am sorry I was M.I.A. last week. I had an eventful last weekend that threw me off for the remaining of the week. I thought I was a head of the game with blog posts and what not – turns out I was wwwwaaaaayyy wrong. It took a while to get back on track and in a groove again. But I am back with a bunch of posts this week and am gearing up for the holidays. : )
Now on to one of my favorite dresses! Polka dots are a pattern that I love and instantly bought this dress when I saw it. I gave a peek of it in this post when I styled a sweater over it. Here I styled it with OTK boots but there are so many footwear options for this dress. If you have read heels, this dress would be great for an office party, holiday party, or even the day of Christmas.
OTK boots are great to pair with this dress when you are walking around for the day or you can even wear sneakers when the weather is warmer to give it a more sporty look. Polka dots are easy to dress up or down. I had planned on slipping into heels when we went to dinner but we ended up walking around after the exhibit before heading straight to dinner. Heels would change the feel of this dress completely, especially if they are a color. Your eyes would immediately go to your shoes because the dress is black and white. Sometimes we need a pop of color!
How crazy is this background? I went to an exhibit with Claudio called Dream and it was definitely interesting, I’ll say that. I’m not going to lie, I do not really get modern art; it goes right over my head. We were given head sets and we listened as a narrator spoke as we went from room to room – he/she was being personified as a dream. What confused me was the fact that what they were talking about was not connected to the rooms we were walking in – well, at least to Claudio and I. haha. It was definitely a cool experience but, in my opinion, it was more for the Instagram shots. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great week!
