One thing that has not changed about Rome is the heat! Boy can it get hot here! I tried to bring my lightest clothes possible which led to me mixing prints with this crop top and maxi skirt.
Happy Friday everyone! Where did this week go? It feels like it just started. There has been so much running around because my sister and I are applying for our dual citizenship with Italy and I have been getting the paperwork ready with C’s parents. Let me tell you, it has been one of the most stressful processes and I cannot wait for it to be over. My sister and I knew it wasn’t going to be easy but my goodness! Ok, end rant. 🙂
I wore this light outfit last weekend while C and I were out walking through Villa Borghese, a park that I have always wanted to visit but never managed to. We tried to stay in the shade as much as possible but the temperature was still hot! Thank goodness this skirt was light and my top was somewhat breathable material. C and I walked so much! That resulted in my need to change sandals because I was starting to get a blister from my Tory Burch sandals.
This skirt is actually part of a set but the top is a little too revealing for walking around during the day. I decided to try my hand at mixing prints which is out of my comfort zone but I do like the end result. I may try experiment more in the future; I bought a polka dot tank top from Mango that would be a good piece to mix with other prints. We shall see. : ) Maybe I’ll try it over the weekend in Ischia!
I hope everyone has a good weekend and finds a way to stay cool! Thanks for stopping by!
