Growing up, I was always athletic. I starting playing soccer at six years old and played through my senior year of high school.
I joined the track team in middle school and ran in high school as well. I loved working out and the exhausted feeling you got after a hard practice (although going through it was not fun!).
Once I left for college, I felt a big void not having soccer in my life. Soccer provided me with a group of girlfriends but also with an athletic outlet. It was hard to find that again. I’m not a gym girl. I do not like going, lifting weights, trying different machines out. Not for me. And I can only run on the treadmill or the elliptical for so long. I did Zumba for two years and loved it. Any one who knows me knows that I LOVE to dance, so combining dancing and working out was a no brainer for me.
Then I left college and could not find someone who taught Zumba like I experienced in college. I would run once I got out of school but I still felt like something was missing. Then I found Pure Barre and fell in love (although I need to start going more consistently, not gonna lie!) Which in turn introduced me to a whole new way of dressing when I work out. I could NEVER wear pants when I was working out; it was always shorts and a t-shirt, sometimes a long sleeve. I sweat. I’m Italian; I like to say mainly Southern Italian (thanks padre!) and I sweat ALOT. So it was always shorts and a t-shirt. But going to Pure Barre, you need to wear leggings. At first I was skeptical, but soon fell in love with the trend. I have quite a collection of leggings now, which is partly thanks to Fabletics . I love how their leggings fit and mixing and matching the outfit choices. It’s budget friendly and I feel good when I wear their clothes.
Thanks for visiting! I would love to know what you guys think!
