I have no idea where all this time has gone! I feel like I just started phase 2 and today I am starting phase 3. This workout program is going so quickly and I love it!
Happy Monday everyone. It’s time for my update with the 80 Day Obsession! I cannot believe that Phase 2 is over already. With Phase 2 being over, that means my trip to Italy is that much closer and I get to see C again! 🙂
Ok, now into my Phase 2 experience. The beginning of Phase 2 was difficult getting used to the new moves because naturally Autumn upped the difficulty of the moves. Total Body Core and AAA with the most difficult workouts for me. Leg Day and Booty Day were relatively on the easy side for me; my lower body has always been stronger than my upper body due to my soccer playing days. Cardio Core was ok but I still dreaded Cardio Flow at the end of the week. That workout is still hard for me and now in Phase 3, we go from 6 reps to 8 reps! But the only good thing is the order of the workouts change with each phase and Cardio Flow is the second workout so maybe it will be more bearable this time!
One thing I did notice that bothered me was that I was not as sore as I was during the beginning of phase 1. Before starting this program, I measured how hard the workout was by how much I had sweated during the workout and how sore I was the following day. During this second phase, I was sweating nonstop but I was not as sore, which kind of bummed me out a little. I did watched the Weekly Obsession video for week 9 and the cast members were saying how sore they were after the workouts which I am honestly looking forward to.
I had mentioned that I was going to get up at 4:30 am during this phase to see if I was able to see more of a change. Well, to be to perfectly honest, getting up at 4:30 am did not happen as often as I planned on it. Strangely enough, on the days that I was able to get up, eat, and do the workout I felt completely exhausted by the 5 pm and could not wait to climb into bed. This didn’t happen every single time but there were days that I just could not stay awake. Granted, there was a lot going on in my life and I was sticking/not sticking to the meal plan which probably had a lot to do with it I’m sure. For this next go around, I’m going to get up at 4:30 am when necessary and then workout whenever I get home on the remaining days. This week I have to get up at 4:30 am three times due to other things that are happening after school.
I lost some inches but maintained my weight. There was a lot going on in my life during this phase and it was very difficult for me to stay on track with the meal plan. I felt like when I was able to reset and get back on track, there was something to make me take two-steps backwards again. I’m really looking forward to beginning new workouts week and getting back on track.
Has anyone started this program? or finish it? I would love to know your experience!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
