Each Thursday is going to be Thursday’s Travels. Traveling is in my blood and something I love doing. So for from now on, Thursdays will be dedicated to traveling: where I have been, where I plan to go, or where I want to go.
I love history and enjoy learning about each place I visit, especially London. I love reading historical fiction novels set in the Middle Ages or any age for that matter. : ) I was like a kid in a candy store while in London, the history that is there is just incredible!
Over the summer I traveled to Europe with my sister and my neighbor. We started off in London and the weather was gorgeous. We had such a great time exploring the city and walking around. On our second day in London we looked up when the changing of the guards was. This is definitely something that everyone should experience when they visit the city.
We decided to get up early and take pictures in front of Buckingham Palace before the crowds came. And let me tell you, there were crowds once the time came closer to the time. It was nice because there weren’t many tourists outside Buckingham when we got there. After we took a bunch of pictures, mainly myself because I absolutely love taking pictures, we decided to walk to the Churchill Museum to see that before coming back for the changing of the guards.
With my neighbor.
It was so hot, I don’t know how they wear those hats in the heat!
I had to take a picture of this car! How cool is it?! I love seeing old cars! It reminds me of a car that would be in a James Bond movie.
We were able to get a front row spot on the road to see all of the horses, musicians, and guards walk by. Unfortunately we were too far away to see how they actually change the guards.
More posts coming each Thursday from the trip!
Thanks for stopping by!
