This past Sunday, Lauren and I ventured out to Brooklyn for brunch. We walked around, scoping out different restaurants until we found one that we wanted to try. Lauren and I chose to eat at Rider Restaurant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The restaurant is right off of Wythe Ave which is a main street for those of you not too familiar with the area. Rider is definitely a restaurant I would come back too. The restaurant itself is narrow with a great ambiance and industrial feel. I absolutely loved the lightbulbs that were around the restaurant. No matter how many times I try grapefruit, I never like it!
I once again ordered a Bloody Mary and it was amazing! It had the perfect amount of spice and horseradish in it. Lauren had the Burt Reynold’s Sex Tape which is your typical Aperol drink you’d have in Italy with mezcal added to it. There is not enough good things either of us could say about our cocktails and the coffee.
I decided to stray away from eggs for brunch this time and chose to order the Banana French Toast. It was topped with a peanut butter mousse that was incredible! We also ordered avocado toast that had a poached egg on top. I’ve never had a poached egg before but I’ve put a sunny side up egg on my avocado toast before and love it. This was delicious as well but next time I would had some hot pepper. : )
Afterwards, we walked around Williamsburg and then headed to Dumbo because I wanted to get some blog photos down there (more on that later in the week!)
Do you guys have any great brunch spots in Brooklyn for us to check out? I’d love to know!
Thanks for stopping by!
