All you hear now is new year, new you. All of the gym specials are starting, new diets, etc. To me, it’s all overwhelming and way to much information thrown at you at one time.
Let’s be honest here, working out has always been hard for me to incorporate into my daily routine and life. Throughout the year, I struggle with consistently working out and like many people, always make that pledge come New Year’s Day that I am going to get better with working out.
But inevitably, there is always something that gets in the way. The fall is always difficult for me to find the time to workout between school starting, soccer is in full swing, and craft shows for my jewelry company, Lina Cord Jewels. Then comes the holidays: life is hectic, craft shows are every weekend, holiday parties. I need my sleep, so getting up early to workout has always been the more difficult option for me.
So what I decided I needed to do was to get back into the swing of things before the new year and keep that routine going once school starts up again. For me, I need to set a routine and really put my mind to it. If I’m lackadaisical and don’t take my goals seriously, there’s not much of a shot of me staying on track. So for me, my new year’s resolution is to stick to what I set my mind to.
What are your new year’s resolutions?
